Figure at the door

I was spending the night at my grandparents house in the woods. At night around 12 pm, I heard scratching at the door. I tried to ignore it but it got louder, so I decided to investigate. I got up and walked to the front door. I looked out the window and saw a big but short black figure. I turned on the porch light and I saw a bear. I fell off the chair I was standing on and ran into my grandparent’s room. I told them about the bear and they went to go check. When they did, the bear was gone. I was relived and went back to sleep.
